Pictures will be posted tomorrow.
We just arrived in Chennai, and were greeted by perhaps 500 Indians outside of the small airport. Can't wait for Indian curry. :)

ReplyDeleteHey, some tips for you to consider while in Chennai
ReplyDeleteMost people there will see that u are white, and u will stand out. They will draw the following inferences:
1)You have lots of cash.
2)You are not very intelligent.
3)They can manipulate your lack of intelligence and your naivety and rip you off for tons of money.
Now, I will not insult your intelligence and state that these 3 claims are mistaken...far from it. But I would like to give you a good-natured warning and advise you to be on the lookout. After all, what are friends for...
ah Lina, I haven't seen that one for a while. ;)
ReplyDeleteIntrovert, they have tried do so in many countries, including Thailand Cambodia Vietnam and more.
We visited today the Sri Parthasarathy temple, and the Kapaleeswarar Temple. We then went to the zoo (where we say Benghal tigers) and to the 1000 Light Mosque. Chennai really has a lot to offer, and I am really liking the city. One problem is that it's really spread out, and that there seems not to be a real center...
I remember the Kapaleeswarar Temple. It is probably one of the densest areas in the world, lol! It is only about 10 minutes away from my high school. I dont think Chennai is that big - it is just that it takes too long to travel from point A to point B - too much traffic. Interestingly, I have never been to the mosque - though it is about 2 km away from my grandparents house, so you have actually seen something about the city that I haven't.
